Sooner Late Model Series Kicks Off This Friday Night!
Geary, Oklahoma– April 11, 2016 - The inaugural
event for the new Sooner Late Model Series takes
place this coming Friday night, April 15, at
Southern Oklahoma Speedwayin Ardmore,
Oklahoma. This event will be the first of two
scheduled for the southern Oklahoma speed plant
and the first of a thirteen race schedule slatedfor
the 2016 race season.
Brill MotorSpeedway track owner/promoter Mark Brill, himself a late model driver when not
doing his track duties and his machine shop business, had several meetings with interested
drivers during the winter and back in December the SLMS was born. Official payout, rules and

Among the drivers who have indicated their intentions on competing include Johnny Reed, Jr.,
Kip Hughes, Jeremy Hamen, Dan Mareno, Harlen and Jay Sale as well as about a dozen other
Oklahoma drivers who have their cars ready. Kyle Whitworth is justone of several North Texas
drivers who have also informed officials they willalso make the trip.
The SLMS will be just one of three different divisions that will be a part of the tracks
special “Fast Friday” event that will also feature new Sprint Series of Oklahoma IMCA
Racesaver Series as well as Wingless Oklahoma Warrior sprints.
Friday night gates will open at 5:00 PM with race action slated for a 7:30 PM start time.
Grandstand prices are $15 for ages 13 and up; $10 for ages 6-12; all pit passes will be $30.
